Hard to choose: What stands out as a favorite is the Merry Widow trilogy by Candice Hern. All three of those books were terrific and she is my all time favorite author.
Christine Feehan’s “Dark Prince” which got me hooked on her Dark Series

I read too much to choose a best book for 2007. I did like Linda Howard’s “Kiss Me While I Sleep” and the Promises books by Sarah McCarty, though.
Oh…you HAD to hit me with that one, didn’t you? Oh, so many…Nora Roberts’ Three Fates is one (I can’t just pick one! An inability for me!) and Diane Whiteside’s story in Captive Dreams, Bound by the Dragon. However I just picked up Angela Knights’ book Jane’s Warlord….I’m guessing that’ll be one of them too! Oh, GOODNESS, I can’t forget this one-my 1st and only Christine Feehan book so far (hey-I have to study!) Dark Demon. I can’t say enough about it!
Hands down, the Bible.
One of the best books I read was Devil May Cry by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
I’ve read so many that I couldn’t tell you, but “Nauti Nights” by Lora Leigh would definitely have to be up there with the best of them. (Who let the Dawg out?”) LOL

She pressed her lips together, looking like she was struggling not to pant. Her nipples were so hard they almost poked through the thin film of material covering them. The only smell stronger than her lie, was the enticing scent of her lust.
“I’m glad to hear that,” he said without hesitating. “That assures me that you won’t go to any of the other hunters. And I’ll kill any of them who try taking you from me. Josh watched her eyes smolder, as the smell of her desire filled the air around them. He ignored her implication that she didn’t trust him. In spite of not smelling another lie, he guessed she trusted him more than she wanted him to know. Or she wouldn’t be relaxing in his arms right now.
“We’re going to find that out.” He lowered his gaze to her breasts and brushed his finger over the swell just above her bra. “It will take patience, paying attention, and not doing anything to alert the others that we have our own agenda.”
She wrapped her fingers around his wrist, but couldn’t move his hand. He quickly allowed his claws to extend and swiped the small piece of material between her breasts. And they aren’t sure they want to talk about it. Except for Leo. Not only does he want to talk about it, he wants to control it. Well, if he really exists. There’s still some question about that. Now as for the eagles, what can I say? They are wise, all knowing, and never seem to get their feathers riled. But don’t cross them. It can get really ugly.

1. I love to read historical romance, because I like to read about things in the past. I find it very interesting.
2. If I were going to write a book it would be about the Highlands of Scotland. This way I could go there and do research for my book. I think it would be a very romantic place to visit.
3. I haven’t read very many romance novel that I have found anything bad about them. There was one book I tried to read over and over again and could not get through it. I finally gave it to a friend and she couldn’t read it either. I can’t even remember the name of it and don’t want to know the name of it. It was bad.

I pretty much only read Romance. I like a guaranteed HEA. That does not mean everything has to be perfect, but at least they go forward slogging through life like the rest of us. I see enough bad things happening to good people in real life and this is my escape where I know things will be ok. Plus, I love a love story. We all dream of a man who loves us unconditionally and fully. I think the reason I’m drawn to were books, vampires, etc. where you find your mate and it is forever is because these guys love their women whole heartedly with no reservations and they can’t leave. I’ve been married 24 years and this is my only marriage, but it has had its ups and downs as do all real relationships, but I love to dream of the relationship where you are so secure that they will never stray, never walk away if things get too tough, etc. They belong to you as fully as you belong to them.
2.) If you were to write a book, what would it be about?
I would definitely write a were book if I were a writer. I love the dynamics of pack life as well as the freedom to make up my own rules about what is and isn’t acceptable. I also love a man who is just “more”. He’s bigger, faster, stronger and protects his mate at all costs. He also has some extended abilities that gives him an edge over regular folk. The heroine would not be a shrinking violet, either. What strong man wants a total wimp for a mate? You do a fabulous job with were books. I’m not a writer, just a reader who thoroughly enjoys true author’s talents.
3.) What’s the worse thing you’ve ever read in a romance novel?
The worst thing I’ve ever read in a romance… hmmm… there are several things that bother me, but the thing that was the worst was by an established author who killed off the heroine at the end of the book. Now, the author knew it was a series and she’d find a way to bring her back in the next book, but this one ended with the vampire heroine turned to dust and the hero broken hearted. There was no warning with the tease and the previous book was about another couple entirely, so you thought this was the end. A friend of the author’s leaked afterwards that she would be brought back in the next one, but by then, it was too late. I don’t know if the third was ever published.

Romance is most definitely my favorite genre to read. My favorite genere is romance, any kind of romance. It can be contemporary, historical, fantasy, paranormal, erotica, I love them all. To me they are for the most part feel good books. When you are feeling down and out or just kinda blah, they show you to take time out and enjoy yourself somehow. Romance books make me feel good and remind me of little things that tend to get overlooked in the hustle and bustle of life. I think they also kind of give people hope for a “happily ever after” when things are tough.

Im not sure what subject or genere it would be about. It would have to be something I felt deeply though. I think that is when people right the best, when their feelings are personally involved somehow. Weather it was an experience that gave them the idea for the book or a person that they based the story on. The more I feel something, the better I can explain it and pull you into it with me.

Well, I tend to give any books I read lots of wiggle room. The worst romances I have read were bad had nothing to them, it wasnt necessarly one scene that turned me off to the book. I dont always agree with rape scennes or scenes where there are children getting hurt or something. It all depends on the story. There was one book, a historical, that had a part rape scene and while I dont agree with it, it was a major turning point in the book. The story overall was great, but it wouldnt have been so impacting if it was missing the rape scene. To me the worst book of any genere are the ones that have NO substance. A crappy plot, or one that does not come together as it should. I give my books a LOT of leway. Besides, they are fiction, not suppose to be exactly as the real world is. That is what non fiction is for.
1. Romance is my favorite genre to read. I guess I like stories with happy endings since I worked daily with sad people that have sad lives. I would come home and be lifted in my spirits by reading a romance book and sometimes a Western. I guess i liked those since I live in the West.
I read all other genres but they don’t satisfy me like a good old-fashioned love story.
2. If I would write a book it would include twins since I am one and could give the story some truthfullness about twins in different situations.

Well I have read alot of bad books-some because of their improper English usage, some because they were unbelievable situations, and some because the characters just didnt grow by the end of the story. I would love to write a romantic comedy-suspense novel featuring a plus size heroine and very bold and hunky hero. Of course, she would rescue him rather than the other way around!

As far as fantasising about living in a book, my fantasies tend more toward living as the heroine of a book because the hero has been so yummy, scrummy…hehe!!!
There are many authors I’d love to meet, and I have had the opportunity to meet a few of my fav fantasy authors like, Terry Prachett, George R. R. Martin and Tad Williams. Recommed a book to the world? Oh boy, it would have to be The Bible. Really, not to necessarily change the world to christianism, but because there are a lot of basic truths in that book. Also, there is almost every kind of plot in there, suspense, betrayal, unrequited love, genocide, true love…its a fascinating book.
1.) Have you ever fantasized about entering into a book and living in that world? If so, which book would it be, and why? UH! SO many options SO little time! There’s so many fantastic Journeys out there there’s no way to pick just one! Obviously the theme would have to be Romance overall but from space travel to time travel to the plain magic of everyday, there’s just no one way to pick!
2.) Is there an author that you’d just love to meet? What kind of meeting would you like it to be? That’s the obvious answer! YOU of course!! While a luncheon type thing would be the ultimate, I would hate for others to miss out so a book signing but one where there would be space and time to actually have a conversation with you and my other faves. One where it might last more then a few hours, more like days and where people would have room to move and talk to each other without being crowded!

and features a very sweet romantic story.

I don’t have a specific book but I’d love to go back in time just to see how things were done but I don’t think I’d like to stay there after a few days! Gotta have toilet paper!

Not one specific one - I’d love to be in a whole room with a ton of authors like a romance conference. That would be great!

It would have to be the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. They’re fantastic and you learn so much history about them without being bored to tears!

Parable to the Sower. I usually ready much lighter fare, but this book touched me more than any other. I hope the world isn’t heading in that direction, but sometimes I’m afraid that it is.
1.yes i have and it would be THE BRIDE . its funny and about finding love . i can totally relate to sarah its scary when you first get married and you have to trust someone. its about growing also as a person . 2. julie garwood ., one where i could talk one on one with her about her books , i really enjoy them. 3. THE BRIDE as i said its about trust and growth and love and if your feeling down it will bring you up , especially the chapter about the parasols , its a riot. i put myself in each book mostly and this one i have a running movie going and my goodness i just laugh my butt off when i read it each time.

I have fantasized about being in a book that had ware-cats in it. (I can not remember the name of it), I have always thought it would very freeing to be able to shift into an animal anyway. The Panther would be my choice. It would give you a chance to have the freedom to be something other than human and give you a chance to experience life in a different view.

I would love to meet, Laural K. Hamilton. I would love to have lunch with her and be able to talk about her Anita Blake Series and how she was able to come up with all the stories that are involved and what was on her mind when she came up with them.

I think a book that I would recommend to the world would have to be, Little people who became great by: Laura A Large. The reason it would be this book is, It is about many great people who started out just like myself and made something of their lives just from their determination and perseverance. It is a great example of what we can do as mere humans with our minds and hearts and if we desire to succeed enough.

*** All the time! If I’m drawn to the world-building
and characters, it triggers my own imagination. The
last book that made me fantasize is Kim Harrison’s
Dead Witch Walking. I figure fantasizing about the

*** I’d go to signings etc. if my favorite authors had
any in my area, but honestly, it’s not a big goal for
me. However, I’d LOVE to meet again my friends who

because I know books I like aren’t everyone’s cup of
tea. Perhaps I’d go for enlightement and recommend
something like “The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty

GONE WITH THE WIND - Since I am one-half southern girl, I would love to live back during those times of plantations and cotton fields.

Well, can I say ALL of the books that I read?? I could never pick just one. I love all the books I read. Some grip me more than others but I enjoy them all!! But I think scottish historicals draw me the most! A highland savage…yummy! Although the only problem I have with that is back then there was no regular bathing…….

Again, I could never pick just one for the same reason as the previous answer!! But what I do know is I am going to be meeting you in a few short days along with a bunch of other wonderful, fabulous authors!! I would like the meeting to be friendly and easygoing. :)

Apparently I have a hard time picking just one book for any answer! There are just too many! I would say paranormal romance….All of them. Why?…well, because I totally enjoy reading them!! Different is always good. Being taken away from normal everyday life in the stories I read I find extremely satisfying in my books. And I would recommend them to anyone!!

Yes I have and this is a hard question to answer because there are so many of them. I guess though the one that I would want to enter the most is LKH’s Anita Blake series. To be able to live in a world where vamps and all the other good sexy monsters are real would be the ultimate world for me. I would love it.

To talk to them and get an idea of how their minds work to come up with the stories they have written would be fantastic. Another hard one to answer because there are so many good ones out there. I would have to say it would be Stephen King’s The Stand. This is one of the deepest books I’ve ever read. The fight between good and evil and the meaning of all the peoples lives and they way they are involved in the book makes it a wonderful read.
1. No, I haven’t fantasized about putting myself in a book. I thoroughly enjoy reading about others, and I see it vividly in my mind, and that’s good enough for me.
2. There are so many I would like to meet - I read a lot. But if I had to choose one, I think it would be Janet Evanovich. And just chatting over coffee and dessert would be fine - very relaxed.

2.) Anaïs Nin, I realize she has been dead since ‘77 but, hey, it’s my dream! I’ve read all her fiction, Henry & June and saw the film (starring Uma Thurman). I love Marseilles (thanx to The French Connection I & II) and in FC I’s opening there was this cool cafe in
front of the La Samaritaine Ricard and there I am drinking my afternoon aperitif, pastis, scribbling in my notebook jotting down anything that could help me with my THIRD manuscript when I look up
and Anaïs is there. She takes the seat adjacent of me dressed in a cream-colored cashmere mockturtleneck dress and heels, hair in a chignon she and tells me: “We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.”
3.) Alina Reyes’ “Behind Closed Doors.” It is a novel of interwoven short erotica told from the female and male perspective after a predestined couple enter a paranormal circus in contemporary France.
This fiction ranges from the ordinary to the extreme, it teaches us that our sexuality is normal, our time on earth is short and that our experiences can seemingly last no longer than a New York minute. Enjoy

I have always wanted to jump inside the books I read, but if I had to pick one it would be Harry Potter. I just love the fact that there was a whole other society with magic powers. I always wanted to be magic

I’ve been lucky enough to get to meet some of my favorites at signings but I always seem to miss Nora Roberts and she lives in my area. I would love to ask her just how she comes up with her ideas. I have always admired authors in general and thought I would be a great author if I could just quit procrastinating. Our meeting would be a meeting of the minds. Someone who is so well published should have some great insight on how to overcome laziness.

Benighted by Kit Whitfield. I only just read it last month and it really made me think. The book was about being normal in a society of lupines and all the prejudices involved. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but some parts were really real in the way that racism still exists to this day. I think everyone could benefit from reading it.
